From Yuji Naka, known for his work on the Sonic the Hedgehog series, comes Balan Wonderworld, a colourful 3D platformer with a lot of charm.
In Balan Wonderworld you play as a young boy or girl, drawn into a strange world in order to help others overcome their greatest fears. From a hub you can access an ever growing number of worlds, each containing a number of stages to complete and a boss fight. Needless to say, you won’t be completing it one sitting, and so you’re going to want to save your progress. But you might be left wondering how you do that.
You see, Balan Wonderworld doesn’t let you save your progress manually. You need to rely on the game’s autosave feature to periodically save your progress for you. The autosave process generally occurs when you activate a checkpoint, or move between the hub and a stage; keep an eye out for the saving icon appearing in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. If you want to turn Balan Wonderworld off without without losing any progress, it’s best to quit the game after just arriving back at the hub or in a stage.
