KONAMI’s latest installment in the eFootball™ series is launched with new features, new licenses and new ambassador players: Bruno Fernandes and Trent Alexander Arnold
August 25, 2022 – Windsor – Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. can today announce the release of eFootball™ 2023 on consoles and phones. The game will also be available on PlayStation 4®, PlayStation 5® and Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Windows®10 and PC Steam®.
eFootball™ is back in the second year and brings with it updated player information and transfers that took place in the summer. With the continuation of the “Free to Play” mode, KONAMI offers its fans the latest updates in football games including updated teams and stadiums for the majority of partner and licensed clubs in its roster.
eFootball™ 2023 will see the return of two former partners: current home-league-winning AC Milan and Italian cup-winner FC Internazionale Milano. This partnership will see the full teams, crews and stadiums they share: San Siro.
In an exclusive licensing agreement, the Liga BBVA MX will be entered in eFootball™ 2023 featuring all 18 Mexican clubs with impressive versions of their players and the addition of the historic Estadio Azteca.
But Konami didn’t just add clubs. England international right-back Trent Alexander Arnold and Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes join the list of ambassadors for already outstanding players including Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr and Takefusa Kubo.
New card types
The latest version of eFootball™ will see the introduction of two new types of cards for the innovative Dream Team game mode, “Epic” and “Highlight”.
‘Epic’ – Epic cards will center around players throughout the history of football and celebrate the seasons of glory that have gone down in the pages of history.
‘Highlight’ – The Highlight cards will focus on the current season as it showcases and select current players who bring fun and craftsmanship to world football in the 2022/23 season.

Packages for the latest clubs
With the additions of Italian giants AC Milan, FC Internazionale Milano and Mexican club Club America, eFootball™ 2023 will include club packages for the three clubs, allowing users to add an entire team to their Dream Team roster at the same time.
Even beginners in the game can form a solid foundation as these packages offer them 11 players from some of the best football clubs in the world.

Significant increase in the number of ‘Trial Match‘ clubs
Previously in the eFootball™ series, users could choose one of nine partner clubs when playing in the offline singles mode of ‘Trial Match‘. eFootball™ 2023 will see this number increase to 26 with additions to choose from including:
