MOUNT & BLADE II: BANNERLORD will launch on PC and console on October 25th.

TaleWorlds Entertainment announced today that the popular RPG game will be released on Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox One X and Xbox One S.

TaleWorlds Entertainment announced today at Gamescom 2022 that their action-RPG Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord will be released on October 25th on PlayStation (PS4 and PS5) and on Xbox (Xbox One and Series S&X) on Xbox.

Since this game has been developed as a game that can be played on different platforms since day one, the console version of Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord will have the same gameplay features as the PC version. The game will be available for pre-order on the Playstation and Xbox stores today (23 August 4 PM UTC) as well as major video game stores.

It will also migrate to the full version of the early version currently available on PC along with the release of the console version on the same date. We would like to note that this stage of the game’s life is not the last, even if this stage seems to be a decisive stage in the life of the game, but it is not the end of the road for Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, which will continue to receive updates in the coming months.

“In these two years we have come a long and difficult road,” TaleWorlds Entertainment CEO Armagan Yavuz said in a statement today. “Developing a massive and complex game like Bannerlord on so many platforms and in the midst of a pandemic is no easy task and I am extremely proud of our team for their awesome and awesome work.” Despite the challenges, this path has also been a useful one: we found many synergies that we initially did not expect between consoles and PC that make the game grow and become even better than it was in other circumstances. Our amazing community has been supporting us on consoles since Warband.”

You can try Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord on the console in the public gamescom conference area in Hall 9, booth 22, or at our booth in the Business District.

Bannerlord is a new installment of the popular Mount & Blade: Warband which is one of the most successful and influential RPGs of our generation. Mount & Blade has been praised globally for its innovative and complex gameplay that combines action, RPG elements and strategic planning in an open world where each player creates their own story on the fictional continent of Calradia.

This new sequel takes place in a pre-Warband setting 200 years before the Calradia we know in previous versions. The Calradia Empire is on the verge of collapse, and several factions are fighting for control of the remnants of the ancient empire that once dominated the entire continent. In contrast, there are other factions that exploit the chaos to gain power.

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord was released in Early Access in March 2020 with a huge hit and since then the game has received dozens of updates to grow into a bigger and more ambitious game. With the release of the full version of the game just around the corner, Bannerlord is finally showing off the much-anticipated console version at Gamescom for the first time.

TaleWorlds Entertainment is an independent video game development company founded in 2005. TaleWorlds has grown from its two founders to now employs over 120 developers including the company’s own publishing team. Mount & Blade has received numerous awards since its release including multiple positions in PC Gamer Magazine’s “100 Best PC Games of History” list.
