The History of the “Green Book”

The Illinois Holocaust Museum is hosting a traveling Smithsonian exhibit about the history of “Green Book,” the travel guide for Black Americans in the mid-1900s. This life-saving guide was used to help people travel safely through the country, and this exhibit tells its story through film, photographs, oral history, and historical objects. Don’t miss this incredible exhibit and check out the rest of this amazing museum while you’re there.

Be Our Guest… at the Culinary Cabaret
