The coronavirus pandemic forced several tournaments to move online as travel restrictions and social distancing norms made hosting offline events difficult. CS:GO teams have been competing in various online regional events in the absence of LAN tournaments.

“This will be the first time in months that CS teams from Europe and Americas will compete against each other and represents a positive step forward for the ecosystem.” said Robbie Douek, CEO of BLAST.

HLTV.org reported North American teams’ plans to travel to Europe for the remaining part of the year.

FURIA and BIG Replace Team Liquid and 100T in BLAST Premier Fall

CS:GO viewers have been wanting to see the best teams from the two continents face off agianst each other. FURIA has had a particularly strong run in recent months and will be a formidable opponent for EU teams.
