Can you play Returnal on PS4?

Returnal is a brand new IP developed by Housemarque, the studio behind the Angry Birds console ports, Alienation, and Matterfall.

The game is being published by Sony Interactive Entertainment and will be PlayStation exclusive.

Returnal is being developed as a PlayStation exclusive, however, it will only be released on PlayStation 5.

The game will take advantage of the PlayStation 5’s DualSense controller and Tempest Engine to support advanced haptic feedback and 3D spatial audio, features that aren’t available on the PlayStation 4.

Returnal will also be taking advantage of the PS5’s fast NVME drive for near-instant loading, as well as allowing for a wide variety of enemies, visual effects, and objects to be on screen.

Basically, the PS4 is too weak to match the vision that the developers have.

The game will launch exclusively on PS5 on April 30th.
