Developer KeokeN Interactive’s upcoming sci-fi game Deliver Us Mars will soon see a release on February 2. To prepare players for that date, the developer put together a mostly cinematic trailer that gives a small taste of the grand locations and narrative featured in Deliver Us MarsDubbed the “Countdown to Launch Trailer,” it condenses all of this imagery and drama into less than one minute, complete with a few small snippets of gameplay.

For those who don’t know, Deliver Us Mars serves as a sequel to 2019’s Deliver Us The Moon, taking place 10 years after that game’s events. Players assume the role of Kathy Johanson, an astronaut sent on a mission to recover the ARK vessels on Mars. These colony ships house technologies powerful enough to reverse the effects of climate change, an especially urgent goal considering the Earth’s rapid atmospheric deterioration. As she embarks on this mission, however, Kathy has to consider “the possibility that her long-lost father, Isaac, may still be alive.”

Mars is not for the faint of heart

The gameplay of Deliver Us Mars sees players navigating Mars’ precarious landscapes through zero-G exploration. As they climb and jump around, players will come across numerous puzzles and physical trials that they will need to complete using “both brains and brawn.” By conquering these challenges and progressing through the story, players will learn more about the individuals who used to reside on the ARKs.

Throughout the adventure, players can enjoy a cinematic score by Sander Van Zanten alongside the game’s Unreal Engine-powered visuals. The new trailer for Deliver Us Mars does show off a little bit of the game’s advanced motion capture and ray-traced shadows, but of course, players will be able to appreciate these more once the title arrives in more than three weeks. The standard edition will cost $29.99 USD, but those who want both the game and the official soundtrack can purchase the Deluxe Edition for $34.99 USD.
