Exclusive Interview With Robin Sundström, Akt Head of Communications

In the recent World Blockchain Summit in Dubai, many blockchain industry leaders visited the CoinQuora media lounge. Robin Sundström, Akt Head of Communications visited us and gave us some insights into what they do at Akt.

Q. Can you give us a brief introduction of yourself and your projects?

Yes, my name is Robin. And I’m the head of communications for Akt. And what we’re building is basically the bank of the future. We’re leveraging DeFi, and a bunch of different innovative investment solutions on a single app. And we’re also going to enable users to pay directly with investor capital. So that’s what we do in the ultimate wealth app, the Bank of the future.

Q. How do you integrate DeFi into banking?

Oh, basically, on our platform, what we’re going to do is allow people to invest directly in different crypto assets, have their crypto automatically invested as well, thanks to our proprietary robo advisor, and I’ve integrated the DeFi lending pool. So crypto staking on our platform, and then you’ll be able to pay directly, you can go down to Starbucks and pay directly with the stake crypto, or with the money that’s being generated by the robo advisor or Bitcoin for example.

Q. Can you tell us more about crypto being “automatically” invested?

It’s a proprietary robo advisor that our Founder and CEO Gael Itier has developed. He’s a crypto trader, very renowned in France. And he realized that these algorithms that he used before for high net worth individuals could be used for the retail market as well, if you combine it with fractional investing. So he has created a robo advisor that works with a core satellite. So basically, based on your risk profile, it allocates your money, between the core and the satellites, depending on the risk you want to take. So for example, you have stable coins, which are like the low risk assets and then you’re gonna have Bitcoin, for example, as more of a high risk asset.

Q. How have you found the World Blockchain Summit so far?

I mean, I think it’s amazing. I mean, just like being at a physical event, you know, it’s a great thing. Like, I think everyone has really missed us, you know, especially during the pandemic, and all these things and just feeling the energy and making real, face to face connection, shaking people’s hands. It’s been a great experience, we’ve made a lot of great connections as well. So I think we’re going to be really happy after today. And Everything that we’re going to be able to bring, bring back with us from Dubai.
