CMC Markets Connect Expands Institutional
Sales Team Hiring Johan Koo

Earlier in the week, CMC Markets Connect announced the appointment of Johan Koo as an Institutional Sales Manager. Based in Sydney, he will focus on the business of the Asia-Pacific region.

His responsibilities will be to augment the team’s sales of liquidity solutions and the new Spot FX product. These products are about to be released in the APAC region imminently.

Nasdaq Announces Retirement of Lars Ottersgård, Promotion of Jamie King and Roland Chai

Also, Nasdaq Inc announced the retirement of Lars Ottersgård, the Executive Vice President for Market Technology, after 16 years of serving leadership roles at the company.

The firm said that Ottersgård will perform an advisory role from 30 April 2022, until his formal retirement on 31 August. Thus, Nasdaq has appointed two senior leaders, Jamie King and Roland Chai, to continue driving its Anti-Financial Crime and Market Infrastructure Technology businesses, respectively.

Temenos Appoints Erich Gerber as President and Chief Revenue
Officer

Temenos AG has announced the appointment of Erich Gerber as President and Chief Revenue Officer. This is part of the company’s efforts to strengthen its Executive Committee. He will be responsible for leading Temenos’ global Customer Operations to accelerate and scale expansion to new territories and market segments.

In an exclusive, Finance Magnates reported that Rosemary Barnes left B2Broker Group and has joined cryptocurrency exchange DXone. She already began the new role earlier on in the month. Based in Cyprus, she will be responsible for DXone’s marketing strategy, coordination of marketing function, communication to and evaluation of strategic partners.

OpenPayd announced that Daniel Belda has been onboarded as the Head of Product Strategy.

CME Group Announces Changes in the Executive Management Team

The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) Group has announced changes today to its management team structure as part of efforts to position the firm for long-term success.

As stated in the announcement, Sunil Cutinho has been named Chief Information Officer. Cutinho is expected to oversee the company’s enterprise technology and will replace Kevin Kometer who is set to retire mid-year. Julie Holzrichter, who has been serving as Chief Operating Officer since 2014, has been given an expanded role to oversee both global operations and the CME Clearing business.

DOJ Appoints Eun Young Choi as Head of National Cryptocurrency Enforcement Team

The US Department of Justice announced the appointment of Eun Young Choi to lead the National Cryptocurrency Enforcement Team (NCET), a new unit it established last year tasked with investigating crypto-related crimes.

Choi will become the NCET’s first-ever Director. Monaco made the announcement while speaking virtually at the Munich Cyber Security Conference.
