  • Laura Shin becomes the victim of cyber bullying.
  • The spat followed the release of Laura’s new book, “The Cryptopians.”

The Twitter feud between Cardano Founder Charles Hoskinsons and crypto journalist Laura Shin has escalated, resulting in Laura Shin being the target of online hate. The spat began when Charles criticized Laura Shin’s new book ‘The Cryptonians’ calling it a work of fiction. Laura had replied to this message by calling out Charles on his false claims of having enrolled in a PhD program.

Laura Shin’s new book, ‘The Cryptopians,’ hit the stands on 22 Feb which delves head-first into the scandalous lives of crypto leaders. The main character is Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum.

However, during several sections, pages of which are circulating on Twitter, Laura Shin writes about Cardano Founder Charles Hoskinson. And none of her stories about him are flattering. Although she was merely quoting people who she interviewed for the book, there are several instances where Charles is referred to as a “sociopath” or “cult leader.”

These allegations did not sit well with Charles, as expected. He called the book a great work of fiction. He added mockingly that it was a tough market to beat George R.R. Martin and Tolkien, but he wished her well.

To these Tweets, Laura responded by asking about his claims of having enrolled into a PHD program. Her tweet read: “Hi Charles, speaking of fiction, do you want to address the discrepancies between your claims of dropping out of a PhD program and the schools’ assertions that you were enrolled as an undergrad?”

Since this tweet was posted, Laura has been at the receiving end of vicious online hate. Laura posted screenshots of these messages saying, “ I’m sorry Cardano people, but this is not cool — and this isn’t even all the messages.” As of now, Charles has not made a formal response to these attacks.
