Coin Sessions Entertainment Gaming Guild (CSE.GG) announced that it has successfully raised $1.5 million in a funding round. The funds will be used to expand, grow, and further develop the guild’s Gaming Autonomous Organization (GAO) platform.

“We’re still in the early stage but the pipeline has already been established.” –CSE.GG

The investment round was led by several Japanese angel investors who, CSE.GG noted, are supporters of the traditional gaming industry but are also now transitioning into non-fungible tokens (NFT), metaverse, gaming finance (GameFi), and play-to-earn games.

*Angel investor – An angel investor is an individual who provides capital for a business or startups, usually in exchange for convertible debt or ownership equity. Angel investors usually give support to start-ups at the initial moments and when most investors are not prepared to back them.

While CSE did not yet disclose yet who these investors are, the guild said their short-term plan is to utilize the funds to scale up and expand their Project Polymath and onboard 3,000+ scholars in the next 2 months. Currently, the guild is recruiting scholars for the play-to-earn game Axie Infinity.

“Simultaneous to this, we are also working on our Gaming Autonomous Organization (GAO) Platform, which will connect players, games, gaming guilds, content creators, security penetration testers, and investors to enable them to easily discover upcoming games with huge potentials, source players, apply for guilds, become KOLs, provide security audits and invests in token projects,” CSE’s founder Emerson Fonseca told BitPinas.

A GAO is a platform that intends to build a better gaming ecosystem by bridging players, guilds, investors, game developers, content creators, and security testers in the metaverse.
