Youves one of the hottest Tezos DeFi projects has launched end of July and the Platform has grown immensely over this short period of time.
The platform offers three services. Namely Minting of the stable token uUSD, Saving (Where you receive interest on the uUSD you lock in the Vault) and Staking (Where you can stake the governance Token Youves receiving rewards in uUSD). More information can be found on the official documentation or on the Youves’ Medium blogs.
This guide solely focuses on buying the You token. I will start from the CEX (Centralised exchange) to Staking my You tokens. So the whole buying journey. I hope you enjoy.
- Firstly, as Youves is based on the Tezos blockchain and the token, for now, is only listed on a DEX (Decentralised Exchange), we will first need to get our hands onto some Tezos. I personally like Crypto.com but you can use any CEX of your choice. Transfer your FIAT to the exchange and head to buy some Tezos.
- Secondly, once you have bought your Tezos, withdraw them to a Beacon supported wallet (AirGap, Kukai, Galleon, Umami, Spire, Temple). In my case, I use AirGap.
