23:20 HAVU complete top 16

Overtime was required for HAVU to overcome OROEsportss on Dust2, but the favored Finns made it through as the final team to reach the top 16. HAVU set up a match with Finest, which concludes our coverage of the Open Qualifier, as the HLTV event page provides the most important information.

Two more rounds of matches will be played out on Thursday, with the final matches, the deciding BO3 semi-finals, set to take place on the following day.

22:45 SAW, South, GORILLAZ in competition as RO16 commences

The first round-of-16 matches have started, with a number of notable teams playing the games that are now featured on HLTV. Still needing to confirm their spot among the 16 best is HAVU, who are playing against OROEsportss, while Finest are looking to upset GamerLegion. The full top-16 team list will be updated when Round-of-32 is concluded.


22:15 AGO eliminated; SAW, OFFSET, Wisla Krakow in RO16

After surviving one mix team in overtime, AGO fell to another. Ivan “⁠Rock1nG⁠” Stratiev‘s MIXALA were too much to handle for the world’s no. 23, who have their RMR hopes dashed following the defeat.


21:25 LDLC shocked in round-of-64

Top 200 team OPAA eliminated LDLC from the qualifier with a 19-15 victory on Inferno. The French team is left heartbroken after a couple of near-misses, having finished 3rd-4th in two qualifiers. Danny “⁠BERRY⁠” Krüger‘s squad will play D13 in the next round of the event.

20:53 AGO survive round-of-64 scare

The Poles managed to fight back against match point and secure an overtime victory on Inferno, 19-17, to advance to round-of-32 over Kermin_Tigar — despite Gabrijel “⁠Šego⁠” Šego‘s 47 frags.

20:26 Round-of 64 underway

Action is heating up in the qualifier as higher-seed teams start to cross paths. ONYX face NASR while HAVU take on Dolej Miodu, with other high seeds such as LDLC and BLINK also in action.

Meanwhile, the highest-ranked team in the qualifier AGO is struggling against mix team Kermin_Tigar in round-of-128, as Šego pushed his squad to overtime with 40 kills against the Polish side. The first big upset came through as hREDS fell to chode 16 – 9.


19:03 Favorites join the action as round-of-128 starts

Teams such as HAVU, AGO, and Izako Boars are joining the action as the first round of action is coming to a close. No upsets have been spotted in the qualifier yet.


18:55 Check-in closed, bracket drawn

The most populated qualifier yet will start with the round-of-256, with lower seed teams such as GODSENT fe, Ignite, and Prima playing straight away, while the more notable teams are given free passes into round-of-128, where they await their opponents.

17:50 Final open qualifier for IEM Fall Europe set to start

The IEM Fall 2021 Europe Open Qualifier 4 kicks off at 18:00 , with a 256-team bracket expected for the competition. Just two teams will make it through and join the likes of Endpoint and Copenhagen Flames who await in the Closed Qualifier.

Will SIXER and co. finally make it through the Open Qualifier?

LDLC are one of the standout European teams that still hasn’t earned their spot in the closed portion of the event, having finished 3rd-4th twice and 9th-16th once across the previous three qualifiers. They are joined by teams like HAVU, Lyngby Vikings, AGO, and GamerLegion who are hoping to stamp their ticket to the closed qualifier.
