India medical industry IT recruitment activity declines 0.5% in June 2021

India medical industry registered a 0.5% decline in IT hiring activity in June 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.

The industry’s overall hiring decreased by 3.32% in June 2021 compared with May 2021.

Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 29.8% share in June 2021, recording an increase of 0.42% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in India medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.88% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India medical industry in June 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 78.28% in June 2021, a 5.86% drop over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed an 8.61% share, an increase of 15% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 4.49%, registering a 100% rise from May 2021.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 3.75%, down 69.7% over the previous month.

Top five medical companies in India IT recruitment activity in June 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 22.13% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India medical industry during June 2021 over May 2021.

Danaher posted 51 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a drop of 21.54% over the previous month, followed by Thermo Fisher Scientific with 30 jobs and a 130.77% growth. athenahealth with 27 IT jobs and Alcon with 22 jobs, recorded a 92.86% growth and a 29.41% increase, respectively, while PPD Group recorded a 46.15% an increase with 19 job postings during June 2021.

Mid Level job postings dominate in June 2021

Mid Level jobs held a share of 45.69%, up by 23.23% from May 2021. Junior Level positions with a 44.94% share, a decline of 35.83% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 9.36% share, up 56.25% over May 2021.
