Giorgio Chiellini, the Italian national football team’s captain, is set to launch a new collection of NFTs which, according to reports, will showcase the team’s “gladiator spirit.”
The NFT collection, which is fittingly called “The Gladiator,” will feature the team captain in ancient Roman costume. The winning bidder will also have the opportunity to meet Chiellini and acquire a “match-worn” shirt with his autograph.
Aside from these exciting complementaries, the winner will also get two tickets to see Chiellini play in either for Italy, or Juventus, his local club. As of this writing, the highest bid has already reached $965 and is expected to go higher.
More Roman-themed artworks
Aside from the Gladiator, the NFT collection also includes 25 editions of artwork that shows Chiellini dealing with another gladiator and an immersive Roman Coliseum at their back. The collection also includes 100 and 1,000 artworks with two different themes.
