2022 with Blinka as the zero

We usually do annual planning for CircuitPython for the month of January or so. We’ve got one more full week in January so let’s make next Friday January 28th the deadline. This time next week we’ll post the round up for the year. Email circuitpython2022@adafruit.com to let us know where your post is.

We’ve gotten three more. Thank you all!

FoamyGuy wrote a post on their GitHub. We’re lucky to have FoamyGuy working part time with us. He’s excited:

As we kick off 2022 I am quite excited about what lies ahead with CircuitPython. This year I’ll be dedicating Monday’s to work on the project. As of the time of this writing I’ve had 3 CircuitPython Monday’s so far and am enjoying that arrangment a lot. I’m looking forward to many more this year.

@deshipu wrote a blog post about keyboards, robots and handheld gaming. It concludes:

This year brought some cool developments around USB and keyboards, but also a lot of frustration with keeping my existing projects working despite new bugs. […] I think I will focus on the Lolin S2 Mini boards for my projects this year

mdroberts1243 wrote a post on the forum. It starts:

I imagine CircuitPython becoming a very easy way to create serious IoT sensor nodes. CP, with Adafruit sensor breakouts, could be used to code the sensor logic.

What I would like to see in #CircuitPython2022 is the ability to work over an RTOS, like FreeRTOS or Zephyr, so that a proper communications stack could be implemented in the background, transparent to the user. This has been successful in ESP series but I’d like to see STM32 or Nordic chips support the same.

#CircuitPython2022 is our annual reflection on the state of CircuitPython. We’d love to hear from you too! See the kick-off post for all of the details. Here are the previous posts:
