Path of Exile 2 is coming to console

Set to land in Early Access by the end of 2024, Grinding Gear Games have confirmed that Path of Exile 2 will not just be released on PC – it’ll be hitting Xbox too, bringing with it cross-play support and couch cooperative fun.

Console and PC support

Also set to land on PlayStation 5, the next-gen free-to-play action RPG will releases in Early Access later in 2024. It’ll do so simultaneously on PC, Xbox Series X|S and PS5.

Pushed to market with twelve character classes, unique bosses, a Skill Gem system, tons of equipment pieces and an endgame like no other, if you previously enjoyed what was provided in the original Path of Exile, then holding out for the sequel shouls well excite.

And when this one does release on Xbox, PlayStation and PC, Path of Exile 2 will come with new ideas and features too. Most importantly for many will be the couch co-op play that Grinding Gear Games have looked to implement. But then, cross-play and cross-progression should also tick a few boxes.

“Couch co-op is something we have wanted to do for a long time. Action RPGs are a genre that are way more fun with friends, and it’s even better when you can play in the same room together” said Jonathan Rogers, the Game Director on the project.
