For this quest, Ravenclaw players will be asked by Ollivander to come to Hogsmeade. There he will explain that his family lost a family heirloom, a very specific wand. He will explain that it was because a certain Richard Jackdaw, who once worked for the Ollivanders took it in hopes to become stronger.

He explains that he likely died in the Owlery and that Headmaster Black didn’t like Ollivander just going around the school grounds searching for Jackdaw’s dead body. He asks the player to go and check instead.

Once the player is there they will go to the top and find some rings over the different Owl slots that can be pulled down using Accio. These will reveal statues of the Jackdaw birds. Players will need to find all of them with some being even higher up.

Once they do Jackdaw will explain that he took the wand with him into a cave along with the missing pages where he ended up being killed.

After this, the “Jackdaw’s Rest” quest will start which is again very important to the story.
