SEGA Genesis December 2022 Game Updates Revealed

SEGA Genesis titles Golden Axe II, Alien Storm, Columns, and Virtua Fighter 2 are coming to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pass starting today, December 15.

Originally released in 1991, Golden Axe II is a beat-em-up that tasks players with defeating an evil clan led by Dark Guld. Players can take control of Ax Battler, Tyris Flare, and Gilius Thunderhead through seven levels in all.

Alien Storm is also a side-scrolling beat-em-up that has players leading a special forces team known as the “Alien Busters” against an alien threat. There are eight missions in all.

Designed by Jay Geertsen, Columns is a puzzle game that has players matching three or more symbols together to make matches.

Finally, Virtua Fighter 2 is a port of the AM2 fighting game originally released for arcades. Each character has a unique fighting style that is loosely based on different real-world fighting methods.
