Warner Bros. Games and DC announced today that Gotham Knights, the new open-world, third-person action RPG, is now available for PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC and can be played solo or in two-player online* co-op.

Gotham Knights, developed by Warner Bros. Games Montréal, stars Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin, a new guard of highly trained DC Super Heroes who must protect Gotham City after Batman’s death

In an original story set in DC’s Batman Universe, players must solve mysteries that connect Gotham City’s darkest chapters while facing off against DC Super-Villains like Mr. Freeze, Harley Quinn, Clayface, and the Court of Owls, a secret society of Gotham City’s wealthiest families.

“We are excited to debut Gotham Knights and return players to Gotham City to play as the famous DC Super Heroes Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin,” said Warner Bros. Games President David Haddad. “Our Warner Bros. Games Montréal production team has produced a rich, multi-layered story, fascinating gameplay, and legendary villains for fans to engage with.”

“We’re honored to tell a new story centered around our four heroes—Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin,” said Patrick Redding, Creative Director, Warner Bros. Games Montréal. “Gotham Knights is the culmination of the hard work by the entire Warner Bros. Games Montréal team to deliver a unique gameplay experience that transports players into the roles of these characters, whether playing solo or with a friend in online co-op and bringing to life some of the most infamous DC Super-Villains in new ways. We’re happy to finally share Gotham Knights with fans worldwide.”

Gotham Knights lets players ride the Batcycle and use a variety of navigation and combat moves to explore five boroughs of Gotham City. Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin will gain new gadgets, gear, and powers as they play. Each Batman Family member can earn specific co-op takedowns and powers like healing or buffing allies. Untethered two-player online co-op lets players solve crimes and explore the open environment. The host’s experience, loot, and story progression will carry over, so gamers can play through the game alone, with a companion, or with both.

On Nov. 29, Gotham Knights owners can download the free Heroic Assault mode, a four-player co-op experience. This standalone mode has 30 action-packed floors in an arena-like area with unique objectives to achieve and adversaries to vanquish.
