Shiba Inu’s lead developer Shytoshi Kusama has launched a new Telegram channel for Shibarium.

The newly created Telegram channel, dubbed All Things Shibarium Shy/Official, will be the official platform where SHIB holders will get first-hand updates about the upcoming L2 network. Announcing the initiative on Twitter today, Kusama said:

Growing Interests in Shibarium

Although Shiba Inu launched the group today, over 8K SHIB enthusiasts have joined the group. Notably, more people are still joining the group on a per-second basis.

Shibarium’s Telegram group members’ growth shows tremendous interest in the L2 blockchain among SHIB community members. Shibarium is an L2 network built on the Ethereum blockchain. Notably, proponents believe Shibarium will compete with Polygon in terms of operability, scalability, and security.

Recently, developers have continued to share some of the features the community should expect from Shibarium. Aside from providing fast and low-cost transactions, developers said the protocol would use a certain amount of gas fees in BONE to burn SHIB tokens.

Kusama claimed in a recent tweet that Shiba Inu has what it takes to survive in the harshest winters. The unending hype of Shibarium has continued to fuel community interest in the protocol, with many requesting an official launch date.

Instead of specifying a launch date, the team has maintained that the launch of Shibarium Beta is close. Kusama believes people will not celebrate once the L2 network finally launches, as they will immediately start building.
