Sinatraa says he is unsure of his return to professional Valorant

On his girlfriend emmyuh’s stream, Jay “sinatraa” Won said that he didn’t know if he was going to return to professional esports but that he’d be back to streaming no matter what happens.

Sinatraa is currently under investigation for sexual abuse and is suspended from professional Valorant by both Riot and Sentinels pending the outcome. Sinatraa is accused of sexual and emotional abuse by his ex-girlfriend Cleo “cle0h” Hernandez. Since then, he hasn’t streamed or participated in any official Valorant competition.

“I don’t know if I’m going to return pro but I’m going to be back streaming no matter what, 100 [percent],” sinatraa said when asked whether he would be returning to professional gameplay. The question came from his grilfriend’s Twitch chat. Fans have been asking on social media about this possible return to competitive, and now they have an answer.

Whether sinatraa returns to professional play or not likely isn’t up to him. Because of the serious nature of the allegations, it is unlikely that another team will pick him up if Sentinels drop him.

Although sinatraa has been laying low since the allegations came to light, there have been some hints that he hasn’t stopped playing Valorant behind the scenes. He has shared screenshots of him playing Valorant to his personal discord, and said that he would be back in the public eye “soon.”

WIN.gg reached out to Sentinels staff, who had no new information to share and offered no timeline as to when the investigation will conclude.

For now, Sentinels are continuing their Masters Stage 2 run with Tyson “TenZ” Ngo, who has been an integral piece to their success, even if they had a rough start to Challengers Stage 2. Because sinatraa was suspended just before the Stage 1 Masters tournament, TenZ has been fitting in quite nicely with the team. He has expressed a desire to stay with the team, although there may be several challenges keeping him from signing with Sentinels permanently.
