The International 10 (TI10) will take place Aug. 10 -15, Valve announced. The biggest esports competition for Dota 2 will feature a total prize pool of a little over $40M USD and will be played out in person in Stockholm, Sweden. A Group Stage will proceed with the event Aug, 5 – 8, the details on that part of the competition were not available as of this writing.
Valve said in its announcement that it will reveal more details about the event in the future and that it is monitoring the situation as it relates to the global pandemic.
“As we continue to plan the event around the shifting landscape presented by the ongoing global pandemic, our focus remains on finding ways to hold a high-quality tournament in the safest way possible. This means we’re waiting to release additional details on attendance options as we gather more information on developments heading into summer. We expect to be able to share more with the community during the month of June.”
Valve also announced the Supporters Clubs, which offers team-related bundles of badges and seasonal equippables. This content will be available to Dota 2 owners until the beginning of TI10.
