There is A Secret Yoru Buff Missing in The Valorant 2.06 Patch Notes

Source Node: 799099

Yoru buffs were added in Patch 2.06 to make the character more viable, but it turns out there is a secret buff that is not included in the patch notes. A dev revealed that a change was left out of the original patch notes and not many players are aware of it. If you have been enjoying the newest Yoru buffs, there is more in store for you. The change that was left out of the notes reads “The unequip time when leaving his ultimate, Dimensional Drift, reduced to 0.6s from 1.0s, a 40% reduction.” The Yoru buff might not be as impactful as the other ones listed in the Valorant 2.06 patch notes, but it is a great quality of life change.

Full List of Yoru Buffs in Patch 2.06

Here are all the Yoru buffs that were officially listed in Valorant’s patch 2.06.

Blindside (Q)

  • Flash activation time decreased 0.8>>> 0.6 seconds Flash duration increased from 1.1>>>1.5

Gatecrash (E)

  • Gatecrash is no longer refreshed on kills and is instead replenished every 35 seconds
  • Lifetime of the Gatecrash fragment increased 20 seconds >>> 30 seconds
  • The range at which the Gatecrash fragment is revealed from stealth decreased 7m >>> 4m

Dimensional Drift (X)

  • Ult Points reduced 7 >>> 6
  • Yoru can now reactivate Gatecrash while in Dimensional Drift

The hidden buff that was not a part of the official patch notes reads “The unequip time when leaving his ultimate, Dimensional Drift, reduced to 0.6s from 1.0s, a 40% reduction.” The change is not too impactful on paper but it is a quality-of-life change that should help Yoru not feel like a target dummy when he gets out of his Dimensional Rift.

Will the Yoru Buffs Make Him Viable?

The Yoru Buffs included with Patch 2.06 might not make him completely meta yet with better duelist options still in the game. However, it is a step in the right direction with the agent being the lowest winrate and pickrate character in the game, which is disappointing after all the hype which led to his release.

The much-awaited buffs are finally here and it will take time for competitive players to decode his strengths and find out if he is worth running over other Duelists in the game. With adjustments to his ult, flash, and teleport, he is in a much better spot and might be worth picking up instead of being seen as a throw pick in unrated and ranked play.
