Art collective Titik Poetry founder Verlin Santos launched his first spoken word EP entitled “Galing sa Pinilas na Papel” last February 13 on an Ethereum-based non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace called Foundation. The launch was sponsored by First Mint Fund, an organization that helps Southeast Asian artists mint their first NFTs by sponsoring the gas fees.

“Galing Sa Pinilas na Papel is a conceptual art combined with poetry, storytelling, and illustration that aims to unravel five unique stories sharing the magic of world’s greatest lessons,” Santos told BitPinas.

According to Santos, the album talks about the five greatest lessons about love, money, life, death, and art which reflects his experiences in life.

The album, in collaboration with his peers, will feature music from JM Lozendo, the collective’s sound engineer, and Mark Astada for the musical scoring. A Filipino and English translation, which was made by Johny Paradox, will also be available to cater to a wider audience demographic.

Album artworks are all minted in 1/1 edition and collectors will receive a signed physical copy of the EP, a shirt, and a framed copy of the illustrated art cover.

Accordingly, Santos launched a dual full album NFT collection last month called “KONSEPTO + KONTEKSTO” on the Tezos Blockchain. The albums each featured 9 pieces about inspiration, self-worth, individuality, faith, experience, and lessons from the different social problems the country is facing right now.
