The New York Jets are adding to their quarterback room after the loss of Aaron Rodgers turned their season upside down. Trevor Siemian, who was with the team during the 2019 season, is signing to the Jets practice squad.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday.

Siemian was originally a seventh round pick (250th overall) in the 2015 NFL Draft, six spots away from being the final pick of that draft. He’s bounced around to seven teams, and now is on his second stint with the Jets.

He played and started one game for the Jets during the 2019 season, throwing six passes and completing three for only three yards. The most games Siemian’s ever played in a season came in 2016, when he played 14 games, racking up 18 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
