TRON DAO and BitTorrent Chain (BTTC) Launches The TRON Grand Hackathon 2022

The TRON Grand Hackathon 2022 is being organized by TRON DAO and BitTorrent Chain (BTTC), and registration will open on February 14th. TRON DAO’s long-term initiatives to encourage the mass adoption of blockchain technology and innovative cross-chain solutions include the Hackathon. The Hackathon’s main purpose is to empower developers to create and implement DeFi, GameFi, NFT, and Web3 applications on TRON and other blockchain platforms, as well as to build a dynamic content and entertainment ecosystem.

TRON DAO and BTTC are also excited to launch the TRON DAO Forum, where users can communicate, obtain information, create topics, ask questions, and participate in general debates concerning the crypto community.

TRON’s objective has been to establish a digital space where everyone has a say since it became a DAO. Putting power in the hands of the community is at the heart of the decentralized web.

“Decentralized storage, decentralized applications, digital assets, and cryptocurrency wallets will all be commonplace in the future.” -Blockchain is becoming the backbone of Web 3.0 – the decentralized web – with the increased use of decentralized, peer-to-peer, and secure networks, according to H.E. Justin Sun, TRON’s founder.

The TRON Grand Hackathon gives up-and-coming talent the chance to shine and accelerate the development of Web 3.0 while also fostering the expansion of the blockchain ecosystem.

The TRON Grand Hackathon is a once-in-a-lifetime chance for entrepreneurs, engineers, and designers who have always desired to create a smart contract or blockchain-based application. Furthermore, creating on BTTC would make it simple to port the built application to other blockchain platforms in the future, such as TRON, Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, and others.

The contest is open to all blockchain/smart contract engineers, product managers, and designers. Participants will be considered eligible if they finish constructing an open-source DeFi, GameFi, NFT, or Web3 project in Solidity that will run on TRON, Ethereum, or Binance Smart Chain by the deadline. Any current projects on TRON or other blockchains that match the conditions are also eligible for the competition.

Throughout the Hackathon, there will be a permanent review panel as well as a dynamic special guest panel for each season. The final review panel for each track will be made up of crypto experts, KOLs, and a public community review board, with scores of 30%, 30%, and 40%, respectively. On the TRON DAO Forum, community reviewers will vote in an open and transparent manner.

The first season of the Hackathon will open for submissions on February 14, 2022, and will close on March 7, 2022. Contestants must specify the category of their entry project name and complete the registration form upon enrolling. It is recommended that entrants fill out the form with a full description of the reasoning and qualities of their proposal. Contestants are encouraged to register and submit their ideas to the Forum as soon as possible since interactions with community members within their forum posts will be factored into the project scoring.

Each season of the Hackathon will be divided into four tracks, including DeFi, GameFi, NFT, and Web3, with a total prize pool of $500,000. This will be a three-monthly funding event to foster the expansion of the TRON and BTTC ecosystem.

Requirements for Submission:

  • Code repository that is open to the public (i.e., Github)
  • A presentation deck that includes an introduction and the project’s suggested solution.

  • Introduction to the Project.
