A vacant block across the road from RAC Arena turned into a public urinal at UFC 284, as 15,000 fans crammed into the venue.

It’s little wonder, with a copious amount of beer available to drink from 6am during the day’s festivities.

As for the main event, Alexander Volkanovski fell heartbreakingly short of becoming just the fifth fighter to hold two UFC titles simultaneously, losing to lightweight champion Islam Makhachev by a majority decision at UFC 284 at RAC Arena on Sunday.

Volkanovski did as he promised, snuffing out a series of Makhachev’s submission attempts and takedowns after coming up from featherweight to take the superfight.

Makhachev took Volkanovski’s title as the No.1 pound-for-pound fighter in the world with the win, leaving the Australian to prepare to defend…
