Debanjan ‘DeathMaker’ Das has completed his transfer from GodLike Esports to Velocity Gaming, who have officially announced the acquisition. The North-East Indian superstar will now reunite with former teammate Sagnik ‘hellffr’ Roy at VLT.

The rumour mill was abuzz with reports of VLT buying DeathMaker out of his GodLike contract. As it so happens, GodLike announced DeathMaker’s departure yesterday, which was followed by the confirmation of the release of the entire Valorant roster apart from Vishal ‘haiVaan’ Sharma, who has been retained as a content creator.

While there is no clarity over the amount paid by VLT to acquire DeathMaker, it is reportedly the largest buyout in the history of Indian Esports as far as FPS titles are concerned.

As revealed earlier by Manoj ‘SENTINEL’ Kasyap, owner of Velocity Gaming, ‘VLT 2.0’ is going to be a seven-man roster, with DeathMaker’s addition to the existing lineup.

With DeathMaker’s arrival, VLT will boast the following lineup:

Anuj ‘Amaterasu’ Sharma

Agneya ‘Marzil’ Koushik

Debanjan ‘DeathMaker’ Das

Sagnik ‘hellffr’ Roy

Tejas ‘rite2ace’ Sawant

Vibhor ‘Vibhor’ Vaid

Mohit ‘mw1’ Wakle

As far as the rest of the players from GodLike are concerned, we will be following this report up with a lowdown on where the players are headed. Stay tuned.
