Antiquing to Find the Ideal Stash Box

“I live for a cool vintage stash box. Don’t judge me, but I like to change stash boxes every year. And they always need to be vintage. There is nothing better than a vintage stash box. I can’t fully explain why, but I’ll try my best.

Because I am constantly evolving as a person, or at least trying to, I believe that change is not only good, but necessary. My stash box is something I dip into a few times per day. Okay fine, maybe that’s too much. But for whatever reason, I like to shed my stash box every June, usually the first week, for a new one. Maybe I enjoy the fresh start? Or maybe I just enjoy the process of finding the perfect stash box for my year. I think it’s a hobby? OMG – I have a hobby!

Most of us “potheads” as some may refer to us as, will use whatever box is easily accessible to us as our stash box. Not this girl! My boyfriend thinks I’m crazy, but I spend most of the month of May searching far and wide for the perfect vintage stash box. This year though, I definitely I hit the jackpot.

On the Right Track

On one of my solo trips antiquing in Los Angeles, I found something so magnificent that I knew I had to have it. Part of me was kinda bummed because the process of finding one I want is part of the fun. Within 15 minutes on the first day, I had found the vintage stash box of my dreams.

This beautiful train case was officially next in line to the throne of my stash box. If only it knew how honored it should be! I remember my grandmother having a similar Samsonite train case back in the day when taking the train was the norm for her and my grandfather. Holding it triggered an onslaught of memories and I couldn’t have been any happier to have found the perfect vintage stash box.

Room for Days

This vintage stash box is not only cool (if I may say so myself) but practical as well. It’s HUGE!

I can comfortably fit all of my supplies in it, from my creams and papers to my scale, lighters and pre-rolled joints. In addition to the size, it appears to be 100% smell-proof. In some of my past stash boxes I struggled to fit everything inside. Not this time. This robust train case is a vintage stash box from heaven.

Made in the U.S.A.

It’s so rare in 2018 to find a nice piece of small luggage, or anything for that matter that’s made in America. This train case turned vintage stash box was made here at home in the mid-80’s so the overall quality is fantastic.

I know that everyone is different. Some of my girlfriends use large mason jar for everything and that works for them. But if you’re into vintage items like me, I highly recommend you take a trip to your local flea markets or antique shops for your next stash box. Yes, it’s easy to use the box your new pair of Beats came in, but if you want to take your stash box game to the next level, they’re out there for the taking. It’s all about the vintage stash box.”

Most cannabis enthusiasts have a special container in their life, just like this stash box with lock! It’s a container that holds many things very near and dear to their heart.
