Focused on connecting Portugal with its former colonies in Africa and South America, in 2016, TAP Air Portugal decided to focus on the United States. Offering Portuguese immigrants and American tourists direct nonstop flights from Boston, Chicago, Miami, New York, San Francisco, and Washington DC, TAP Air Portugal also introduced a stopover program to allow visitors to spend time in Lisbon or Porto. Advertizing it as a way to break up your trip while visiting Europe, TAP allows customers to spend three days at no extra cost discovering Portugal before flying on to their final destination.

TAP Executive Class

All odd-numbered seats offer authentic window seats, while even-numbered seats are closer to the aisle. Business class seats in Executive Class offer a 20.5-inch width and a 42-inch recline and are decorated with patterns with sophisticated fabrics.

TAP has replaced blankets with soft wrap-round duvets and anti-allergy pillows twice the size of previous ones. New tablecloths, napkins, service cart cloths, and tray doilies in Executive Class reflect the tradition and reveal the quality of Portuguese textiles. Each seat is equipped with sockets that provide 115V AC designed for portable electronic devices. Each seat comes with noise-canceling headphones and a large in-front touch screen monitor with over 100 movies and shows to select from.
