Capital.com announced on Thursday the appointment of Laura Lin as the Chief Executive Officer of its Australia business. She has already joined the broker in August.

Her appointment came at a time when the London-headquartered company is aggressively expanding its global presence, especially in the Asia-Pacific. The Australian operation of the retail broker is also new as it was only launched earlier this month.

Lin has spent years in several other trading companies and is an expert in the industry. She brought over 11 years of experience in operations, compliance management and corporate growth to her new role at Capital.com.

Before joining Capital.com, she was with Mitrade Group as the Acting Group CEO and Australia CEO. There, she launched the company’s Australia business. She also spent more than eight long years at IG in compliance roles.
