The story
It is still very early in the adoption of augmented and virtual reality (AR and VR) tools to serve large enterprise use cases, but the energy sector will need to be at the forefront of the innovation curve, explains Amber Lineback of Duke Energy in the latest issue of VRWorldTech Magazine.
Duke Energy, a Fortune 150 company and one of the largest electric power holding companies in the US, launched a VR training solution earlier this year.
Developed in-house by its XR Lab for the wider energy sector, Virtual Crew has yielded impressive results internally, including savings of approximately three hours in training time per technician per course through the use of VR.
