Microsoft faced a similar situation as it prepared to introduce an AI chatbot integrated into its Bing browser. Despite these concerns, both Microsoft and Google proceeded with their chatbot releases. Microsoft launched its Bing-integrated chatbot in February, and Google followed with the release of Bard in late March, a few months after OpenAI unveiled ChatGPT-4 in November 2022.
