Onboarding firm Appway has hired former SAP executive Mark Holenstein as its new chief operating officer.

Holenstein developed two start-ups acquired by SAP: business process management company Signavio, and e-commerce firm Hybris.
He also spent two years at SAP as its executive vice president for global sales in SAP customer experience.
Appway says Holenstein will become a central part in the development of its Appway-as-a-Service platform and Appway Cloud.
“Mark will support us to fulfil our vision and actualize our mission in the months and years to come,” says Hanspeter Wolf, Appway CEO and founder.
Holenstein says he has spent “considerable time” in the customer experience, customer relationship, and process management space.
“Appway’s focus on composable business is putting companies at the forefront of change again.”
Founded in 2003, the company provides cloud-based customer lifecycle and interaction software designed to support digital transformation across the financial services industry.
It raised $37 million in equity funding from Summit Partners last year to expand its product portfolio and accelerate international growth.
