1.Bitcoin อัปเดต Taproot เตรียมรองรับ Smart contract

Bitcoin soft fork days away as Taproot upgrade closes in

Real-world use cases are one of the main adoption drivers for every crypto ecosystem, which also holds true for the Bitcoin (BTC) network. In the next seven days, the Bitcoin protocol will undergo a soft fork in the name of the Taproot upgrade, which aims to improve the network’s privacy, efficiency and smart contracts capability.

The Taproot soft fork will see the introduction of Merkelized Abstract Syntax Tree (MAST), which introduces a condition that allows the sender and receiver to sign off on a settlement transaction together.

Mastercard launches crypto-linked cards across Asia-Pacific

Credit card giant Mastercard made a big splash in the digital asset market on Tuesday by announcing the launch of crypto-linked payment cards across the Asia-Pacific region.

In partnership with three cryptocurrency service providers, Mastercard will offer crypto-funded payment cards that enable users to instantly convert their digital assets into traditional fiat money.

“Rather than directly transferring cryptocurrencies to a merchant, cardholders will now be able to instantly convert their cryptocurrencies into traditional fiat currency which can be spent everywhere Mastercard is accepted around the world, both online and offline,” the company said.

3.Tim Cook เผย ตนกำลังถือคริปโทฯ

Brazilian federal deputy proposes crypto payment option for workers

Federal Deputy Luizão Goulart, a Brazilian congressman, proposed a bill to legalize crypto payments as a mode of payment for public and private sector workers.

Goulart’s proposal seeks a new law that allows all Brazilian workers to have an option to request employers for remuneration in cryptocurrencies. However, the bill warrants crypto payments to be made only after selling a mutual agreement between the workers and the employer. According to the translated version of the bill.

If signed into law, Goulart’s bill will establish a consensus between the workers and the employers for predetermining the percentages of remuneration in crypto and fiat. According to Goulart:

“Most importantly, the proposal will help collaborate in the resolution of the “cash” problem of the Federal, State and Municipal governments by offering payment alternatives, and at the same time, moving a gigantic Market Economy that lies ahead.”

Incoming NY mayor wants crypto taught in schools

New York Mayor-elect Eric Adams appears to be doubling down on his pro-crypto stance, asserting that schools should incorporate cryptocurrency studies into their curricula.

Speaking during a Sunday interview with CNN’s State of the Union, Adams described cryptocurrency as “a new way of paying for goods and services throughout the entire globe,” urging local schools to equip students for “the new way of thinking” brought about by blockchain technology and digital assets.

Doctors Without Borders is now using blockchain tech for medical record storage

At a November 11 press conference, blockchain- based document security company Transcrypts announced a partnership with Doctors Without Borders, or DWB, that began on October 14th. Working together, they have already uploaded 6500 immunization records to the blockchain, with a goal of 76000 by 2022.

Most of the recorded immunizations are COVID 19 vaccines, but the company stated that eventually the goal is to store all patient medical records on the blockchain, where they will be accessible from a patient’s phone.
