With the college season coming to a close women’s basketball fans do not have to wait long for the WNBA. The 2024 WNBA Draft is on April 15 at 7:30 p.m. ET with the WNBA Countdown Presented by Google beginning at 7pm.
The Draft is presented by State Farm for the 12th year in a row. The company began their presenting sponsorship for the drafts in 2013. It will be held at the Brooklyn Academy of Music marking the sixth consecutive year it was held in New York City (2017-2024, 2020 and 2021 excluded due to COVID-19 restricting the event to a virtual format).
WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert will announce the draft picks live on ESPN. This is the first time this will be a live event with fans in attendance since the 2014-2016 drafts. The roughly 1,000 tickets available sold out in 15 minutes back on March 7.
