In a largest deal, Air India has inked letters of intent with Airbus and Boeing to purchase single-aisle and widebody aircraft to expand its fleet with an additional 470 aircraft. Air India‘s recent agreement with Airbus and Boeing is not just a significant milestone for job creation in the US and UK, but it also presents an excellent opportunity for job creation in the Indian market.

With over 250,000 employees already working in the industry, NLB Services anticipates a surge in demand for both technical and non-technical talent by 10-15% to meet the workforce requirements of operating on a larger scale.

According to NLB Services, India presently has 141 operational airports, and the government is projected to invest USD 1.83 billion to expand airport infrastructure and build nearly 60 additional airports by 2026. These developments are likely to enhance the aviation sector, positioning India as one of the top three aviation markets in the world.
