What good is an RPG without romance options? No good, that’s what. Thankfully, Baldur’s Gate 3 knows the assignment and lets you play as horny a game as you like. Nobody is safe from the advances of you, the main character, as you bed your way around the world. Nothing takes the stress off impending worldwide destruction like chatting up a few romanceable characters in Baldur’s Gate 3.

All the romanceable characters

Every character is beautifully fleshed out and complete in Baldur’s Gate 3. The RPG really goes all out on character creation, leaving every companion, and other romancable character, feeling unique. To get into each of their pants, you need to know a little about them and what they do and don’t like. We have a comprehensive guide on that here.

Astarion

He’s a vampire, emotionally and literally. The thing is, he is also very handsome and charming if you’re into the tortured slimeball type. His bleeding heart may appeal to you, in which case, charm him with a little bit of murder and pandering to his needy attitude. Let him have a little suck on your blood, and he’ll be yours forever in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Gale

The hopeless addict of the group. You can give him your heart as well as all your magic items to consume if you like. He’s the romantic, reciting literature and poems all over the place. He takes a little while to get warmed up, but once he is there, he’s a real heartthrob. Gale is turned right off by violence and anyone with an IQ lower than his. However, a little magic use does wonders for getting him hot.

Lae’zel

Seemingly cold-hearted and brutal, this early-game companion just wants a partner with some mettle. Show her your worth in battle, and Lae’zel will melt like an ice cream. However, if you turn down her advances early on, that’s it; she won’t ask twice.

Shadowheart

Not all romanceable characters in Baldur’s Gate 3 are straight to the sack. Some of them, like Shadowheart, need a little romance first. Her heart belongs to Shar, but she has space for you too. As you make your way through Shadowheart’s storyline, she begins to confide in you as a friend and, then, eventually, as a lover. A few romantic evening smooches lead to something more in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Wyll

Wyll is another slow burner in the group when it comes to being romanceable in Baldur’s Gate 3. His pact with his patron holds him back a little when it comes to getting loved up. However, with a little kiss here and there, it becomes possible to romance Wyll in Baldur’s Gate 3. The monster hunter in him can be tamed.

Karlach

This Tiefling barbarian is hell-bent on finding the person who sold her to an Archdevil when she was only a child. She breathes fire both in the real world and into your heart if you so desire. Her attitude is blazing hot, and continue with her questline long enough, you’ll find out just what else is blazing hot too.

Halsin

He’s a half-man, half-bear or werebear. I’m not sure of the terminology. You have to wonder what the romance would be like with a bear. As long as you don’t decide to destroy the Grove at the beginning of Act 1, you can pursue a romance path with this character in Baldur’s Gate 3. He will be slow to advance, but he will make that move in Act 2.

Minthara

Minthara will only give it up if you give up the Grove. This will mean Haslin is no longer romanceable in Baldur’s Gate 3, but the decision is up to you. This Half-Drow warrior is one handful to deal with, but once you spend the night with her, you realize there is more to Minthara than meets the eye.

Mizora

The person holding Wyll’s soul captive is also romanceable in Baldur’s Gate 3. She propositions you quite early after joining your camp and shows you the delights of hell. The one night of passion will lead to Wyll and Gale no longer wanting to be romanceable in Baldur’s Gate 3, but that’s fair. You did just sleep with his captor.

Haarlep

A twin image of Raphael exists only to please him. He or she has taken on the image of the perfect partner for Raphael, and funnily enough, it is himself. The embodiment of narcissism can be met as a romanceable character in Baldur’s Gate 3 for the location of the Orphic Hammer and key to Raphael’s safe. Deny the Incubus at your own peril.

Three’s a crowd, as they say. You can pay 1000 gold for these guys’ services in the brothel at Wyrm’s Crossing. Play your cards right, and your current partner will get involved, make even smoother moves, and you can add Halsin as a fifth. It’s gonna get sweaty, maybe not exactly romantic, though.

The Emperor

Do face tentacles do things for you? Then give the Emperor a whirl; Mind Flayers need love too. The Emperor is also your guardian, so you have already created a bond and the foundation for something more throughout the game. Surely the fact that they’re basically an octopus with a body isn’t enough to deter you from this romanceable character in Baldur’s Gate 3?
