If this week’s headlines tell us anything, it’s that humans still maintain a healthy distrust of capitalism. It’s obvious in the way bloggers and commenters all over the web responded to the news that EA is buying Glu, and in the title of Lozange Lab’s next game: Rip Them Off.

Fortunately, developer Rusty Lake is on hand to demonstrate that not everybody is greedy. Once again, it’s straight up giving away one of its highly acclaimed horror puzzle adventure games for free. Jump on that now.

Punishing: Gray Raven is already a hit in China and Japan, and it’s not hard to see why. This sci-fi RPG from Kuro Games looks just like a futuristic Genshin Impact, with the same slick cel-shaded visuals and anime aesthetic. It’s got a neat premise, too – a robo-virus has turned all the synthetic life forms against the biological ones, and only you can save humanity.

Undecember is a funny old name, but the game it’s attached to looks deadly serious. This ambitious PC and mobile title clearly has Diablo Immortal in its sights, boasting exactly the same sort of magic-infused hack-and-slash action. It’ll come with cross-play, too, allowing mobile gamers to give their PC cousins what for.

Rusty Lake is a nice developer. Only a few weeks ago it decided to give away its entire Cube Escape series for free forever, and now it’s giving away the awesome horror adventure game Rusty Lake Hotel, albeit on a more temporary basis. Go and grab it right now, before the price shoots back up to the still-reasonable $1.99.

Glu is one of the biggest mobile game developers in the word, with a heritage that stretches right back into the humble J2ME days. EA, meanwhile, is one of the oldest developers full-stop. The latter is currently in the process of assimilating the former in a perfectly logical, but still unpopular, act of corporate empire-building.

While we’re on the topic of capitalism, Swim Out developer Lozange Lab’s latest game takes aim at the retail sector. This clever tower defence puzzler sees you building shops and making it almost impossible for consumers to avoid going into them and spending all their money. It looks like a clever and fun concept, and it’s coming in May.

Titan Quest is an acclaimed and massive action-RPG that’s been around on PC and consoles forever. The mobile version languished until HandyGames got hold of it, since which time it’s been regularly updated and finessed. The studio recently released a Legendary Edition, too, containing souped up visuals and lots of DLC. And now, finally, it has controller support too.

It would be easy to dismiss The Witcher: Monster Slayer as a Pokemon GO-aping gimmick, but it’s so much more than that. CD Projekt’s latest is a proper RPG that you play through augmented reality, not only fighting monsters but also meeting NPCs, receiving quests, and learning about the lore of The Continent.
