We’ve got some disappointing news about Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s upcoming Wrath of the Druids DLC.
Apparently, it has nothing at all to do with 2001’s The Mystery of the Druids, infamous for its ‘screaming druid’ cover. We were looking forward to fight a Druid foe whose Banshee-style scream could blast the flesh off protagonist Eivor’s bones but, alas, that’s not to be.
The second piece of news is that Wrath of the Druids has been delayed by a couple of weeks. Original pencilled in for an April 29th release date, it will instead arrive on the scene this May 13th. It’s set to take Eivor to Ireland and is the first proper expansion for the game, with Siege of Paris to arrive later.

The content has been delayed to “deliver a more refined experience”; make of that statement what you will. It may be that Ubisoft thought the content wasn’t quite up to scratch, or they discovered a particularly game-breaking bug. Whatever the reason, two weeks isn’t a huge delay, and we can definitely live with that.
Wrath of the Druids is coming to Playstation, Xbox, PC and Stadia on May 13th. It can be purchased on its own or as part of the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Season Pass.
