AWS has announced a slew of new Partner Network Programs aiming to better facilitate cloud transformation.

Announced during its re:Invent event, AWS’ new programmes include new offerings for software vendors, expansions to its Competency Program, as well as updates to AWS Marketplace.

The ISV Partner Path aims to provide AWS Partners with resources designed to help accelerate business growth, such as access to curated programmes, prescriptive guidance, and direct AWS support.

Also aimed at software vendors, the AWS SaaS Boost is an open source, ready to use reference environment which partners can use to rapidly migrate applications over to a SaaS delivery model on AWS.

AWS also unveiled four new additions to its AWS Competency Program: Travel and Hospitality, Energy, Mainframe Migration, and Public Safety and Disaster Response. The Program includes categories in solution areas such as machine learning (ML), Internet of Things (IoT), DevOps, and Big Data, and was previously only available in Education, Financial Services, Government, and Retail industry verticals.

Travel and Hospitality, and the Public Safety and Disaster Response Competencies are available today, while the Energy and Mainframe Migration are to become available early next year.

The cloud giant also announced that, as of today, customers will be able to purchase professional services from AWS Partners directly from AWS Marketplace, making it easier to identify software and associated services in a single procurement window. Computacenter, Presidio, and Rackspace are among the providers already participating in the programme.

AWS Channel & Alliances head Doug Yeum said that the company is “excited to continue to launch new programs and services to support our tens of thousands [of] AWS Partners around the world”.

“As more organizations rapidly move to the cloud, the majority of them are using AWS Partners that they know and trust to provide specialized technology and expertise. To help our partners, we are continuing to invest heavily in making it easier for them to build successful cloud businesses on AWS and ultimately ensure that customers have access to the best software and services to navigate their cloud journeys,” he added.
