After years in early access and overall development, Larian Studios, Baldur’s Gate 3 is finally finished and making its way to the public. The Dungeons and Dragons-inspired RPG will give players a brand new adventure to truly map out and make their own story with. There are a lot of people planning on playing this one and they are certainly going to have questions. How do you get the Baldurs Gate 3 Owlbear Cub?

There will be a lot of choices to be made in Baldurs Gate 3. Many will have to do with different stories, quests, interactions and even relationships within the game. What Larian Studios does well with their games is they make it feel very much like the player’s choices matter. This can alter the entire game even with the story being a little more mapped out. How players get there and to certain endings is their decicision.

When looking more into the game it is one that poeple have had early access to for awhile. But this was still a very limited version of the game. Realistically it was a good amount of the first act but considering the game is expected to take around 100 hours to beat, this is still not much overall. That means there is a ton of new content coming with the full release.

How to Get the Baldurs Gate 3 Owlbear Cub

There are a lot of different NPCs in the game and some of them players can get as companions. The Owlbear Cub in Act 1 is one. This is a multipart questline to get to keep the Owlbear.

Step 1

Go to the Owlbear Nest. This can be found in the forest east of the Blighted Village and closer to the river.

Step 2

Fight through the next and get to the end where there will be an Owlbear and its cub. Players will have multiple options to pick through. Do not pick the first or second option. Once the other options have been picked the player will end up having to fight the mother and kill it.

Step 3

After killing the mother the player will be presented with the choice on what to do with the cub. Spare it and it will eat the mother.

Step 4

Next go west of the Blighted Village to the Goblin Camp. Here players will have to fight their way up to the top left corner of the map where right in the middle will be the Owlbear cub that was spared.

Step 5

Players will have to win the game of Chicken Run in which the cub is being used a chicken substitute. Make sure to save before this just in case if the player loses. Once the player wins they will get the Owlbear cub and will send it to their camp.
