Here are the top 6 best female Valorant teams of all time

Riot Games has introduced VCT Game Changers to promote inclusivity for women and other marginalized genders within the gaming community. So far, this initiative has been greatly successful. Three seasons of Game Changers have already been completed, and we have witnessed the emergence of several top-tier teams and players from around the world.

To know more about the Game Changers scene, check out this list of the best female Valorant teams of all time.

Best Female Valorant Teams: Updated end of 2023

Unlike the open Champions Tour, Riot Games has separated the VCT Game Changers scene into six regions: North America, EMEA, LATAM, Brazil, Asia-Pacific and East Asia. We’ve been lucky to witness several super-talented teams from all the regions making their mark on the scene already. However, some teams have clearly outshone others. These are the top 6 best female Valorant teams that have enjoyed the most success in the history of VCT Game Changers.

6. KRÜ Blaze- LATAM

Notable Achievements:

  • Only team to win 8 straight Game Changers Series in a row

KRÜ Blaze represents the Game Changers team of the franchised organization KRÜ Esports. Like their male counterparts, they are the best Latin-American Valorant team. In the LATAM region, which has seen 8 regional GC series so far, KRÜ has won all of them. This should give an idea of how successful a team KRÜ is at the regional level.

Despite the success at the regional level, like other accomplished teams from seemingly less prominent regions, KRÜ struggles to make an impact on the international stage when the stakes are at their highest. While they qualified for both the 2022 and 2023 Game Changers Championships, their performances at both events were lackluster, to say the least.

Current Roster:

  • Constanza “conir” Reyes
  • Romina “romi” Alvarez
  • Micaela “micaela” Ferreyra
  • Keila “kalita” Nava (Inactive)
  • TBA

5. Team SMG GC- APAC

Notable Achievements:

  • 35-match win streak
  • Won four APAC GC events in a row without a loss
  • 4th Place in VCT 2023: Game Changers Championship

Team SMG was, at best, an above-average team before 2023. However, their sheer dominance in 2023 was enough to get a spot on this list. Bringing in the best players from the APAC circuit, like enerii and Alexy, Team SMG built a super team for last year’s GC season. The team clicked instantly. If there were ever a roster that rivaled C9W’s dominance, it would be Team SMG GC. The Singaporean team was practically unbeatable at one point.

Before the 2023 Game Changers Championship, they accumulated a 34-match win streak. Even on the international stage, they were impressive. However, the Apac champions couldn’t replicate the level displayed at the regional stages. After a few standout performances, they exited the event following losses to G2 Gozen and TL Brazil.

Current Roster:

  • Abigail “Kohaibi” Kong (IGL)
  • Alexandria “Alexy” Francisco
  • Camille “Kamiyu” Enriquez
  • Kelly “shirazi” Jaudian
  • Odella “enerii” Abraham

4. Shopify Rebellion- NA

Notable Achievements:

  • Grand finalist in VCT 2022: Game Changers Championship
  • Winner in VCT 2023: Game Changers Championship

Shopify Rebellion spent a long time in the shadows of C9W. After playing second fiddle to the Cloud9 roster for a season and a half, they eventually secured the long-awaited revenge on the grandest stage possible. Sonder and the team defeated their arch-rivals in the lower bracket semi-final of the 2022 Game Changers Championship.

Unfortunately for the North Americans, they couldn’t go all the way as they suffered a heartbreaking loss against the eventual champion, G2 Gozen, in the grand final. However, this defeat was redeemed in 2023, albeit with a different roster. The new roster led by Melanie “meL” Capone defeated Team Liquid Brazil in a back-and-forth matchup to win the 2023 VCT Game Changers Championship.

The Shopify Rebellion roster of 2022 was disbanded after failing to qualify for the 2023 Game Changers Championship. Later, SR signed the Version1 roster, which had already qualified for the year-end Championship event in Sao Paolo. With this renewed roster featuring former V1 players, SR became the first North American team to win the GC Championship.

Current Roster:

  • Melanie “meL” Capone (IGL)
  • Ava “florescent” Eugene
  • Sarah “sarahcat” Simpson
  • Nicole “Noia” Tierce
  • Alexis “alexis” Guarrasi

3. Team Liquid Brazil

Notable Achievements:

  • Highest Game Changers regional events win (13) between 2021-2023
  • Podium finishes in both VCT 2022 and 2023 Game Changers Championship

If there was ever a team to go toe-to-toe with the former C9W or G2 Gozen, both in terms of achievements and performance level, it’s Team Liquid. With a near-flawless record at the regional level, TL is undoubtedly the best-ever GC team from Brazil. Even at international events, they boast an impressive record. Although the Brazilians haven’t secured an international title, they have achieved podium finishes in both editions of the Championship.

After revamping the team in January 2022, the roster underwent a few changes over the past two years. However, the two constants have been Natália “daiki” Vilela and Paula “bstrdd” Naguil. Incidentally, both of them have been top performers for Team Liquid. The IGL, daiki, is only 19 years old and is considered one of the biggest prodigies in the scene.

Current Roster:

  • Natalia “daiki” Vilela
  • Vitoria “Bizerra” Vieira
  • Letícia “Joojina” Paiva
  • Isabeli “isaa” Esser
  • Paula “bstrdd” Naguil

2. Cloud9 White- NA

Notable Achievements:

  • First team to win 6 NA Game Changers events in a row
  • Won four GC events between 2021-22 without dropping a map

Three Game Changers seasons in, Cloud9 White is still the most dominating female team the game has ever seen. meL and Co were signed by Cloud9 to compete as their female roster in early 2021. The team did not have to look back after that. C9W became the first 6X Game Changers Champion. After going undefeated in 2021 and most of 2022, the streak finally came to an end in the 2022 GC Championship, where they suffered their first elimination in a GC event, losing to the fellow NA team Shopify Rebellion.

On December 20, 2022, the most dominating team in the GC scene parted ways with its roster. The team’s five players went their separate ways, with meL and Alexis joining Version1, Katsumi and Bob signing with XSET, and Jazzyk1ns, the 19-year-old duelist-main, opting for Complexity Gaming.

Roster*:

  • Bob “Bob” Tran
  • Alexis “alexis” Guarrasi
  • Jasmine “Jazzyk1ns” Manankil
  • Katja “katsumi” Pfahnl
  • Melanie “meL” Capone

*team disbanded in 2022

1. G2 Gozen- EMEA

Notable Achievements:

  • Winner of VCT 2022: Game Changers Championship
  • Four Times EMEA Game Changers Winner

While G2 Esports has shown inconsistency in the open VCT circuit, its female team was the complete opposite. As Europe’s undisputed finest, the team led by mimi has been on a roll since the very first VCT Game Changers season. With five regional GC event wins, there is no doubt that mimi’s team is the face of EMEA when it comes to female Valorant.

Not only EMEA, but G2 Gozen has been massively successful on the international scene too, as demonstrated in the inaugural VCT Game Changers Championship in 2022, where G2 Gozen became the world champion after reverse-sweeping Shopify Rebellion in the Grand Finals.

In 2023, G2 underwent several roster changes, with Mary leaving competitive gaming to focus on studying and Juliano returning to CS. These changes seem to have impacted the team’s performance. Mimi and her squad failed to reach the finals in the last two GC events of the year, including the Game Changers Championship, where they were the defending champions.

Current Roster:

  • Michaela “mimi” Lintrup (IGL)
  • Vivian “roxi” Schilling
  • Petra “Petra” Stoker
  • Sarah “sarah” Ahmed
  • TBA
