The NFL season is approaching. Before the season starts gamblers need to get their bets in for the year. Here are futures bets to place before the 2023 NFL season.

Last Year’s Record: 4-3

2023 NFL Bets

Dallas Cowboys Over 9.5 Wins

Despite Dak Prescott getting injured last season, Dallas still won 12 games. Their defense was much improved and they added Stephon Gilmore in the offseason to add to it. On offense, Dak Prescott will need to cut down on interceptions, but they hit 12 wins even with the turnovers. Tony Pollard will provide a more dynamic running back in his more full-time role this season. While it will be tough to win the division over the Eagles, the Cowboys should win over 9.5 games.

Kansas City Chiefs Over 11.5 Wins

Frank Clark and Orlando Brown are gone which hurts both the offensive and defensive line. It still isn’t smart to bet against Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid. The Chiefs haven’t had under 12 wins in a season since 2017. Mahomes will heavily target Travis Kelce again and will distribute the ball decently evenly to the rest of the pass-catchers in the offense. The defense may take a small step back, but they have drafted solidly on the defensive side of the ball. Imagining the Chiefs winning fewer than 12 games is hard to do.

Green Bay Packers Under 7.5 Wins

Jordan Love is getting his chance to start now for the Packers. It is hard to have complete faith in Love improving and keeping the Packers as competitive as they have been given his performances so far. The regular playing time could help him improve, but it will still be hard for the Packers to win more than seven games, after winning just eight last season.

George Pickens Over 4.5 Touchdown Receptions

Last season Pickens had four touchdown catches in his rookie year. His chemistry with rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett was apparent from before the season. Pittsburgh likely won’t have the most explosive offense in the NFL next season, but If he is Pickett’s top target for a full season, it is hard to imagine him not totaling more than 4.5 touchdown catches. Pickens has already made some big plays in preseason and it appears that he and Pickett are ready to take a step forward.

Joe Burrow Over 33.5 Passing Touchdowns

In each of the last two seasons, Burrow has passed for over 33.5 touchdowns in 16 games played. With an improved offensive line and the same core of receivers to throw to, Burrow can hit that number again this season. The Bengals may need to play Burrow all 17 games this season for playoff seeding purposes, which increases his chances of hitting the number again.

Bijan Robinson to Win Offensive Rookie of the Year

The Falcons already had a good rushing attack last season, then drafted Bijan Robinson in the top 10 to really improve on that. He is one of the more naturally talented running backs that has come into the NFL in a few seasons. The Falcons will utilize him heavily, as he has unique ability and the team doesn’t have the best passing attack. Rushing for over 1,000 yards could sway voters to pick him instead of one the several rookie quarterbacks projected to start this season.
