Binance CEO Sets New Fashion Trend For Crypto Officials

From Bermuda to Bahama to Binance. The crypto space has caught on to a new trend rising from its leaders and influencers. In particular, they speak of Binance CEO, Changpeng Zhao (CZ), making official appearances in Bermuda shorts.

Specifically, CZ elaborates on a Twitter post, where he says he wore Bermuda shorts at an official event in Bermuda. Since the CEO found himself in Bermuda, he decided to wear ‘Bermudas’ with high socks as he was under the impression that this is considered formal wear on the island.

He adds, much to his surprise, he was the only attendee at the event in Bermuda’s formal attire. The Twitter post talks about how he especially went shopping to buy the Bermudas, possibly to fit in nicely with the locals.

In addition, CZ follows up with another Twitter post, where he once again makes an appearance in shorts. Here, he explains that the event, Binance Super Meetup, was held in Taiwan. He stresses the fact that Taiwan at that time was in fact very hot.

Hence, he opted to wear shorts to the conference that day. He even adds that he didn’t want to keep the attendees waiting and headed there directly from another venue. Lastly, he says this will most likely not be the last time where he’ll show up for an official appearance in shorts.

To express just how sure he is of that fact, he says,

I hate shorts in trading, but love them on my legs.

Notably, it is not only the CEO of Binance who makes official appearances in the most casual attire. CZ shared another Twitter post where he hints that he isn’t the only one.

The tweet is a shot of El Salvador President, Nayib Bukele chatting with Peter McCormack. The latter, a renowned journalist in the crypto space and Bitcoin podcast, decided to meet the President in a simple metal outfit. Suffice to say, fans and believers of crypto take after the technology. They make their own rules and refuse to stick to the norm. It is fascinating to see the leaders stay true to themselves even as they continue to disrupt the technology and finance industry. Now, it seems that they are coming for the fashion industry next.
