Bitcoin Suisse, a crypto-financial service provider, and Wordline, a payments and transactional service company, team up to roll out an advanced crypto payment solution.
This service will be able to reach more than 85,000 Swiss merchants across Wordline’s network and receive both Bitcoin and Ether. What’s more, the service will include payment options at point-of-sale (POS) and e-commerce.
Safety net
Worldline provides an opportunity for merchants to offer payments in cryptos without being exposed to cryptocurrencies’ biggest risk — volatility.
This safety net is made possible by a secure and quick conversion of crypto into Swiss francs right after the payment has been confirmed. And because of settlement in CHF and pay-out processes integrated with other payment options like a credit card, this is certainly beneficial for merchants.
Aside from benefits for merchants, the new service of Bitcoin Suisse and Worldline is also beneficial for consumers.
By simply downloading the WL Crypto Payments mobile app or by installing the Worldline payment plugin for their online stores, consumers can take full advantage of the two companies’ advanced services.
Tax payment thru crypto
Just this year, Bitcoin Suisse conducted a service that allowed the citizens of Canton of Zug to pay taxes using Bitcoin and Ether.
Taxpayers receive a tax invoice where they can confirm that they want to pay through cryptocurrencies. Then they will receive an email with a QR code which is meant to be scanned by a crypto wallet to confirm the crypto payment.
Recently, Switzerland rolled out efforts to position itself as one of the most crypto-friendly places in the world by initiating projects that support digital currency payments.
The service is just one of the country’s efforts to make crypto payments a norm in the country, and the government (including Swiss companies) are expected to introduce more crypto initiatives in the future.
