BOOM Esports is the champion of the 2024 PMSL SEA Spring with 179 points at hand, claiming two Chicken Dinners in the process.

BOOM Esports is the official champion of the 2024 PMSL SEA Spring. The hungry wolves accumulated 179 points in The Grand Final and claimed 2 Chicken Dinners. 

They would bring home USD 40,200 for being the champion and automatic qualification to the PUBG Mobile Global Open 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. BOOM Esports will also be the first Southeast Asian team to qualify for the new tournament. 

BOOM Esports was dominant from the group stage to the end as a team. In the league stage, they led the leaderboards with 131 points from three weeks.

The momentum followed into the Grand Final stage as BOOM Esports claimed a top-4 finish seven times from 18 league matches, including the two Chicken Dinners.

The one surprise is how low teams from Thailand and Vietnam were placed on the leaderboard. All three of the top teams in the leaderboard were from Indonesia. The first team from Thailand were FaZe from Thailand sitting in fifth place and D’Xavier from Vietnam were in sixth place.

With their win, BOOM Esports will be qualified for PMGO 2024 and join six other teams that have previously qualified for the tournament.

The qualified teams are S2G Esports from 2023 PMGC EMEA #1, IHC Esports from 2023 PMGC CSA #1, A7 from 2023 PMGC AM #1, NOVA Esports from PEL, Dplus from Korea Pro Series, and Reject from Japan League.

Nine unspecified teams will also join the qualified seven. One team will be from qualifiers, while the other seven will come from the preliminary.

One champion from the qualifiers will directly qualify for the main event, while the other eight best-placed teams will join the PUBG Mobile partnered team in the preliminary rounds.

The preliminary rounds will consist of twenty-four teams, including the eight teams from the qualifier, duking it out for three days. The top eight teams will be qualified for the PMGO 2024 Main Event.
