Esports champion of the 2019 Fortnite Solos World Cup Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf announced with Fortnite today that he is joining the Icon Series with his own in-game skin. On top of that, he brings Bugha Late Game to Fortnite, a new competitive Arena and prize tournament.

Fortnite Icon Series Bugha

Beginning tomorrow on Tuesday, July 20, at 8 PM ET, the new Bugha Icon Series skin enters Fortnite. His skins come in as a full set with a unique base skin, backpack, and pickaxe. In addition, the Bring it Around emote, a highlight to Bugha’s celebratory dance after winning the 2019 World Cup, becomes available to purchase. The base skin even comes with two additional styles. Its current cost is unknown but will likely be 2000 V-Bucks like other Icon Series skins.

Epic Games’ way of thanking valuable community members comes in the form of the Fortnite Icon Series and adding Bugha alongside players like David “TheGrefg” Martínez and Tyler “Ninja” Blevins is a big addition. He’s truly made a mark on Fortnite esports and helped get the world’s attention.

Bugha Late Game

In collaboration with Epic Games, the new Icon Series set for Bugha adds a new competitive mode too. Bugha Late Game Arena runs from July 20 to July 28 and starts players in the middle of a competitive game. Each Trio enters the game with a preset loadout out of nine options. But those playing get dropped into the third storm circle on the island and must survive from there.

In this unique mode, players earn Hype based on their performance. Those with the most Hype by July 27 get invited to Bugha’s Late Game Tournament on July 28. Here, players competing can earn up to $100 thousand from their respective regions in the two-round event. Bugha made a huge impact on Fortnite and its esports scene and Epic Games commemorating him with an Icon Series Skin is fitting.
