  • Bware Labs launched a working prototype (MVP) of its platform.
  • Users can now interact with Avalanche, BSC, and Ethereum using the Bware API.
  • Also, Bware will incentivize node providers to promote decentralization.

Romanian blockchain startup Bware Labs is launching a decentralized API platform that connects node providers and users. To clarify, the blockchain released a MVP or working prototype of its platform.

Thus, users can now set up dedicated node endpoints using a MetaMask wallet. As such, users can generate dedicated endpoints that enable them to interact with Avalanche, Binance Smart Chain, or Ethereum blockchains. In addition, the MVP allows users to access data through RPC or APIs.

Notably, users can get access all this in just four clicks and less than 30 seconds. Best of all, the MVP is free of charge. However, each MetaMask wallet can only support a maximum of three endpoints, one for each blockchain. Nicholas Mussallem, the Head of Product at Ava Labs the power behind Avalanche, noted,

“As an advisor of Bware Labs, I am very pleased with the progress the team is making towards a fully decentralized API platform. But, more importantly, I am very eager for the Avalanche ecosystem to have this easy-to-use and extremely convenient option of gaining access to blockchain data. I truly believe this will streamline development efforts on various blockchains.”

Also, Bware Labs has provided nodes along with the MVP release. The nodes will help ensure smooth user onboarding. However, once the platform is mature, Bware Labs will create a two-sided market for node providers and users. The MVP upgrade will also serve as a decentralized alternative to Infra and Alchemy.

Of note, the MVP currently limits requests to 25 per second. However, comparatively, Bware uses half the latency of its competitors while offering more supported blockchains.

In addition, node providers will be able to stake their native tokens on the network. Staking will help hedge against token slashing if the node underperforms. To achieve the staking limit, node providers can incentivise delegators by sharing rewards with them. Notably, Bware is the only API platform supporting node providers in this way.

Also, node users will pay a transaction fee that will reward node operators via a subscription model using the MetaMask wallet. This service fee also serves to enhance node operations by aligning operator and node user needs. Bware Labs co-founder and CEO Flavian Manea stated that proper incentives help enhance blockchain security by keeping block nodes decentralized. Manea added that centralization occurs naturally without incentives as only the major ecosystem players will be able to afford to host nodes.
